Why do my dogs sleep outside when it is cold? I bought the?
Why do my dogs (St. BErnard, Lab, & Blue Healer) sleep outside when it is cold? I bought them a big 15x12 out building to sleep in when it gets cold, and we put straw in there along with each dog (3) a bed. They also have straw outside that they love, and they will not sleep inside unless it is raining. Is this normal for dogs?
I also bought a nice house for my dog, and he never uses it. I think he was too hot in the summer, and he is just starting to feel a nice cool temperature now, although for us it is cold. dogs are not stupid. If they go in there when it is raining, they will use their house when they are cold. Unless you see them trembling or showing some discomfort, they are fine outside, as long as they have a warm place to get into if the get cold.

We have her setup with her crate surrounded by a big exercise playpen so she cant wander too far with food and water and wee wee pads. She has peed twice inside on the floor in her pen and twice outside when we take her. Do you think that moving her whole setup over by the patio door with the wee wee pads right by the patio door would help her learn to go outside? And just take her outside whenever we see her sniffing around like she has to go?

i have a male staffy and was told if i bought another they would constantly fight. one of my friends has two female staffies and they tend to fight as well.
i acually went to the pound and bought a dog the same age as him. she is a mix breed who will be taller than him.
because staffies are so tough and can be at times aggresive with other dogs, i made sure i got a dog that was submissive. and it worked out really well.
he can get a bit rough with her sometimes even tho he doesn't mean to but because she is so tall she just uses her legs to shoo him away. but she's not aggressive, so i'm not worried about them fighting viciously or anthing.
look up some dog breeds that are quiet and submissive, dont get bully breeds. and maybe look for a breed that will grow taller than him. Smaller dogs and staffies dont really mix

Why can't I find a pet gate that will fit my 24" doorframe?
I have to find a pet gate to keep my dog out of the room with the cat's food and litter box. I have searched EVERYWHERE for a gate that will fit a 24" doorframe. All of them start at 29", why is this. Do people only have doorframes that are super wide? My house is only two years old.
Does anyone know where I can find a pet gate that is:
